I am putting up a tutorial on how to use this site.
When a user registers, she will have a default profile of subscriber. This will allow her to write only comments. If the user wants to contribute to the site (writing posts, uploading pictures, etc.) she will have to send an email to mail at kaithavana dot com. The reason I am not writing out the email in the proper form (xyz@xyz.com) is to prevent spam/junk mail. I encourage everyone posting email addresses (in the public posts) to follow this security measure.
Once I receive the email, I will upgrade the user to an author. She will now be able to write posts. Posts are the main text areas of the site. Comments are written as replies to posts, and are not as publicly viewed as posts.
On receiving author privileges, the user will have to log in (from the sidebar on the right).
There may be some links that are not visible to all the users, but the image above will give you a generic idea. To write a post, go to Write>Post. You can enter a title and then follow on to write the body of the post. To insert pictures, there will be an Add Media button. The first button to the right of this text will let you insert pictures into the post.
Once you are done with a post, assign it to a category, which is at the bottom of the page.
Now you are ready to save your post. Click on the save button which is located in the small box in the right hand side.
